Privacy Policy
1. Data that stays on your device (never transmitted)
The following is processed only on your device; it is never sent anywhere, never stored by us, and never shared with third parties:
- Photos and videos (duplicate / similar / blurry / screenshot detection, best-shot selection)
- Contacts (duplicate merging, format cleanup, VCF backup)
- Text inside documents and screenshots (on-device OCR privacy audit)
- Content you move into the encrypted vault (unlocked by your device lock)
2. Data we collect
| Data type | Source | Purpose | Shared |
|---|---|---|---|
| App activity (anonymous counter events) | Firebase Analytics | Usage analytics | No |
| Crash logs + diagnostics | Firebase Crashlytics | Bug fixing | No |
| Advertising ID | Google Mobile Ads (AdMob) | Rewarded ads, free tier only | Yes (Google / AdMob) |
- Analytics events are identity-free counters; file names, OCR text, contact data and personal information are never included as parameters.
- The Advertising ID is used on the free tier only. For lifetime purchasers the ads SDK is never initialized.
- Purchases are handled by Google Play; the app never sees or stores card / payment data.
3. Google Photos backup (optional feature)
This feature runs only when you explicitly start it and sign in with your Google account. Otherwise it is entirely off.
- Scope used:
photoslibrary.appendonlyonly. This is a write / append-only permission: it uploads media you select to your own Google Photos account. The app does not read, scan or analyze your Google Photos library. - Uploaded items are added to an album named “FERAH Yedekleri” in your account.
- Uploads go directly from your device to Google; they do not pass through any server of ours and are never copied or stored by us.
- We confirm an item was uploaded using our own on-device registry; only for confirmed items do we offer “delete from this device?”.
- Only items you select are uploaded; there is no background library scanning.
Limited Use disclosure: Ferah’s use of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
4. Accounts and data deletion
There are no accounts; collected analytics are anonymous. You can reset your Advertising ID at the system level: Android → Settings → Privacy → Ads. You can manage and delete items you uploaded directly in Google Photos.
5. Security
Network traffic (Firebase, AdMob, Google Photos) is encrypted over HTTPS. The vault holding sensitive on-device content is encrypted with your device lock.
6. Children
The app is not directed to children and is not part of the “Play Families” program.
7. Changes and contact
